Hair loss

Hair loss (alopecia)

If the hair falls out partially or completely, it is called hair loss. Hair loss can be slow or inconsistent, or it can all go away.
About 100 hairs fall out of a person's head every day.
Baldness is not usually caused by any disease. It is associated with age, heredity or hormonal changes. Male type or female type can be bald.
There are many reasons for hair loss. The following are the reasons:
Hair diseases
Hereditary thinning or baldness: This is called androgenetic alopecia or baldness. It is considered to be the most common cause of hair loss. In men, hereditary baldness is seen, hair loss along the hairline, along with hair loss on the scalp. In women, on the other hand, the hairline is straight and the hair on the front and top of the head becomes thinner.
Alopecia areata: It is an autoimmune disease that causes hair to grow on the head and other parts of the body. It is seen in people of all ages, with hair falling on certain parts of the body.
Sciatica (scarred) alopecia: It is seen in healthy men and women. Sciatric alopecia are very rare cases in which the hair glands are damaged. Where there are hair glands, scarred cells are formed and regrowth is no more. The treatment stops the inflammation which destroys the hair glands.
Reciprocal treatment: Excessive hair loss is seen as a warning sign for about 30 diseases. Hair loss can be stopped or reduced by treating the underlying disease. Thyroid disease and anemia due to lack of iron can lead to hair loss.
Treatment of some cancers: Radiation therapy and some chemotherapy treatments cause hair loss. While this hair growth is transient, it is the most painful part of this therapy.
If there is ringworm on the scalp: Fungal infections can cause hair loss. It is more common in children with baldness or scarring on the scalp.
Trichotillomania: It is a disease in which people repeatedly tear their hair. In addition to tearing hair from the top of the scalp, patients are forced to tear hair from their eyelids, nose hair, eyebrows, and other parts of the body.
Stress and hormones
Stress: If a person is under physical or mental stress, the hair may fall out. Hair loss can also occur after a major outbreak, high fever, acute infection or flu.
If the hormones are high or low: Especially in the case of women, any change in the level of hormones can cause hair loss. Decreased estrogen levels after menopause and childbirth usually lead to hair loss. When hair falls out as a result of low estrogen levels, this fall is transient, the hair grows again.
Food
Weight loss will be followed by weight loss. People will lose their hair. This is a very common cause of hair loss.
If the levels of vitamin A are high: If you take high amounts of vitamin A through vitamin supplements or medicines, your hair may fall out.
Low protein intake: When the body does not get enough protein, hair can fall out, because protein is stored in the hair, which stops hair growth. Within 2 to 3 months, a person with this condition can see visible hair loss. It can be stopped and prevented by eating proper protein foods.
Eating low iron foods: Eating very low iron foods can cause hair loss. National sources of iron vegetables are iron-rich cereals, soybeans, pumpkin seeds, beans, lentils and spinach. The largest sources of iron are oysters, googly and animal meat.
Foodborne illness: Foodborne illnesses such as anorexia or bulimia can cause hair loss.
Use of medicine
Medication use can cause hair loss, e.g.
As a result of thinning of the blood
If the level of vitamin A is high
Medications for arthritis, depression, gout, heart problems and high blood pressure.
Birth control pills: In some women, hair loss occurs after taking or stopping birth control pills. In the case of women in general, this results in thinning hair.
As a result of repeated hair care
Hair Cosmetics: Repeatedly dyeing hair breaks the hair. Hair breaks down if not used daily or properly with dyes, gels, relaxers and sprays. Dermatologists recommend using less of these cosmetics to stop hair breakage.
Hair dryers, the use of irons to straighten hair and the use of such devices: Every day the use of hair dryers causes hair loss. The high temperature of the hair dryer dries the water in the hair follicles causing the hair to become brittle and break. To avoid this danger, the hair should be dried and styled in a dry condition. Dermatologists recommend hair straighteners that straighten hair at very high temperatures and use other instruments very rarely.
Hairpins, clips and rubber bands: If the hair is tied tightly with hairpins, clips or rubber bands, the hair may break. To reduce this hair breakage, the clip should be lightly tied and applied to different parts of the head so that the hair does not break in any particular place.
Excessive or forced makeup: Shampooing, combing or brushing the hair every day (100 times or more a day) or using one of these can cause hair breakage. When the hair breaks, the hair feels coarse or thinner.
Dermatologists can ask questions related to the patient's medical history, family history to diagnose hair loss. A dermatologist can closely monitor the scalp to find out its condition.
Hair loss is treated depending on the cause of the disease.
These are the treatments that are done without a prescription
Minoxidil  : This drug is applied to the scalp. It stops hair thinning and stimulates hair growth in the upper skin. It is the only hair growth medicine that can be used by both men and women.
Laser instruments  : Brushes, combs or other hand-held instruments that emit laser light help in hair growth. For some people, using these devices makes the hair look more vibrant. While the FDA has approved all of these devices as medical products, these devices are rigorously tested for treatment. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
Prescription drugs
Finasteride: This is an FDA approved drug that is used to treat hair loss in men. It is available in pill form and in men (about 8% of cases) helps with the problem of slow hair loss. Finasteride stops the secretion of a hormone dehydrotestosterone (DTH) from the male body.
Corticosteroids: If the body goes after hair due to inflammation, the dermatologist injects a drug into the scalp, called corticosteroids. When a person has alopecia areata it helps to stop the inflammation. Corticosteroids are different from a bizarre steroid.
Method
A dermatologist recommends using different methods depending on the amount of hair you have lost. A dermatologist can use one or more of the following methods to get better results.
Hair replacement:  Remove the scalp where there is good hair growth and replace the scalp where hair is needed.
Reducing the scalp:  Removing the bald skin by surgery and bringing the hairy skin closer together to reduce the baldness of the scalp. Surgery to reduce this skin can be done individually or in combination with hair replacement.
Extension of the skin above the scalp: The  skin is stretched by inserting the device under the skin for 3 to 4 weeks. This method is used before reducing the scalp so that the skin is supple. It is also used alone to reduce baldness by stretching the skin with hair.
